We’re Working Hard to Keep You Safe!
We’ve modified many of our procedures to keep you and our staff safe and healthy. Our goal is to promote a practice of safe-culture, but still maintain a high-quality experience during your visit.
Specific things that we’re doing to ensure your safety and comfort:
- Monitoring the health and wellness of our staff
- Additional sanitizing and cleaning of all common areas and high-touch surfaces
- Spray and wall-mounted hand sanitizing pumps throughout the inn
- We’ve updated the sanitation and housekeeping procedures for your guest room
- We’ve modified our food and beverage service by eliminating the buffets, designating dining times, and offering in-guest room continental breakfast service
Cleaning of our guest rooms and common areas:
Our staff is always focused on your comfort and the cleanliness of our rooms and common areas. Each room has been deep-cleaned first using a neutral detergent and and water, and then disinfectant applied. We will sanitize your room again before you arrive. Sanitizing sprays are available throughout the inn, as is anti-bacterial hand soap and wall-mounted hand sanitizers. Additionally, our staff will wear masks and fresh disposable gloves when cleaning your room, discarding them before the next task. Only disposable cleaning cloths will be used. For you comfort, our housekeepers will not enter your room for daily service. Towels and other room amenities will be available upon request.
Social distancing (or “SDing”, as it is now referred) and dining:
Our porch and patio tables have a minimum of six feet between each of them. We are limiting the number of guests at breakfast and have also opened the Bridge Street deck and poolside dining to accommodate additional guests while supporting SDing. Our formal dining room will be restricted to no more than two guests at a time. Designated dining times will also be used.
All dining areas and surfaces will be sanitized before and after breakfast, as well as throughout the day.
Unfortunately, for the time being, our extensive weekend buffet has been eliminated, but you will still be able to enjoy our scrumptious plated breakfast. Continental breakfasts will be available for in-guest room dining.
Wine Hour … It’s a new twist on SDing:
While so much of the charm of staying at a B&B is interacting with other guests over evening wine, you will still be able to enjoy our wine while SDing, just not during our “wine hour.” Upon request, we will have a complimentary bottle of chardonnay or cabernet in your room. For those staying three or more nights, we will deliver a new bottle every other evening. Please let us know your preference when making your reservations.
As many of you know, this is a small area which will not support the six-foot rule when more than one guest is in the pantry. As this is such a wonderful convenience, we don’t want to eliminate access to it, but ask everyone’s help in supporting the SD guidelines.
You are still welcome to use the refrigerators for your personal items. We will have provide single use, zip-lock bags to encase your items. The ice maker will be stocked with individual pre-packaged bags of ice.
Saltwater swimming pool:
We want you to enjoy our beautiful saltwater pool after a day in the city. The chaise lounges have been re-positioned to allow 6-feet distancing.
