Exclusive Use of The Inn
Own a historic circa 1865 inn for your special occasion. Whether you’re looking for a location for your wedding guests, family reuion, corporate meeting or more, The Kenwood Inn is an ideal option.
Built in 1865 and formerly known as the Hotel La Borde and Hotel Kenwood, The Kenwood Inn is the only remaining hotel structure of its size from what was known as St. Augustine’s Gilded Age.
In the mid 1800s to the early 1900s, St. Augustine was home to many luxurious hotels and guesthouses including the most infamous, Ponce de Leon Hotel, which is now Flagler College. With the exception of The Kenwood Inn, the Buckingham Hotel (now Flagler College Gymnasium) and Hotel Villa Flora (now the retirement home of the Sisters of St. Joseph), all others hotels and guesthouses were lost in the devastating fire of 1914 or were raised over the years.
Originally built with 22 bedrooms and all outdoor plumbing, The Kenwood Inn remained a hotel or boarding house until the early 1970s. The new owners petitioned the City of St. Augustine to allow bed and breakfasts and were granted the first license. The Hotel Kenwood, renamed The Kenwood Inn, became St. Augustine’s first and oldest bed and breakfast.
Beautifully located in the Old Town, St. Augustine’s most historic district, the inn is just moments from everything the city has to offer, yet we are in the quiet section of the city.
